(Right Whales)

1.jpg

The balaenidaes family is a diverse and interesting family of whales. Most of the family is extinct except for four of them. They live in both polar and temperate regions and feed on copepods (crustaceans). They either live by themselves or in groups of two to four. They weigh up to 100,000 kg (110.231 tons) and measure up to 18 meters in length. The whale is also large and chunky and has a huge head. They are also called the right whales.
