The chorthippus brunneus also known as the common field grasshopper. Females have a coloration from poop light brown to charcoal black to grass green then to rosebudb green. Mature maleshe turns reddish at the top of the abdomen. Baby grasshoppers are 0.5-1 in. Adults are (14-25mm) long. These creatures eat grass only. Their habitat is dry, sunnny meadows, roadsides and maybe even forest edges. The males may produce calls that sound like "sst"of about 0.2 seconds duration. Their distribution is Northern adn central Europe, and california. They are found across Europe, mostly in Africa and North America, and gardens through out England.

It's seen most often then others. Adults live from June until late attum. They lay their eggs in most soil in late summer, and they hatch in the spring to to bring miniture, without wings grasshoppers. Their predators are bees, wasps, common frog, common lizards, grass sanakes, spiders harvestmen, and wood mouse. Their about 735 million common grasshoppers as we speak. The common field grasshopper blends in with most evviorments it stays in like it blends into a tree or a peice of bark. They also lay their eggs in enclosed frog eggs. These creatures are very missundersrtood. And are needed in the world just like every other animal.without them we would not be the same. That's my report on the common field grasshopper. You learned where they live. Places you can find them and their population. Where they lay their eggs and many more things.
