The Ceruchus Striatus is one of the most unique beetles.  Its common name is the Ceruchus stag beetle.  Its located in eastern and western America.  They are large, typically dark brown or reddish-brown in color.

The Ceruchus stag beetle lives in tree trunks.  They are very large in size, they can get up to 1 to 1 ½ inches.  They like cold adaptations of freezing susceptible.  The coloration of the beetle is a reddish- brown or dark brown color.  The characteristics of the beetle is its big pincer on it.

The ceruchus stag beetle’s habitat is cold weather.  They usually live in tree trunks or dead wood.  There are 100s of stag beetles.     

 

Their diet is sweet  fruit like melons.  Their favorite food is cherries.  Their predators are rats and mice.

 

In conclusion the ceruchus stag beetle Is a very unique beetle.  What stood out of the beetle was that it was big pincers on it.
