Great Grig's are insects. The Great Grig looks similar to a cricket. It's brown and hump backed. It can grow up to 20-30 mm long. It has long antennas and to some people it looks scary. It is the largest of the other two species. You can find them in Southern British Columbia and Alberta. You can also find them south to northern California and southern Idaho.

Their population isn't that big because it is shrinking. Great Grigs are consumers. They feed on staminate flowers of coniferous trees, and flower parts and pollen of broadleaved shrubs. They sometimes eat fruits and small insects. So that makes them a herbivore. I had fun researching this animal because I got to learn so much about an animal that I have never heard of before.
