(New World Leaf Bats)

1.jpg

New World Leaf Nosed Bats are most commonly found in Central and South America. They are the most ecologically diverse species in the order Chiroptera. Most Leaf Nosed Bats are insectivorous, which means their diet consists of just insects. But some have been known to be frugivores, which means they just eat fruit. Leaf nosed bats are usually known to be brown, grey, or black. But one species is white. They use echolocation, or biosonar, in which they send echoes to then receive calls back around them. In all, New World Leaf Nosed Bats are very interesting creatures.
