First of all, it has many different colors. Most of the time the Stoney Creek Frog is brown, but during mating season the male frog turns to a lemon yellow and brown on top. A thin light line runs from the snout to the eye.  Some male frogs are all the way yellow during mating season.

Litoria wilcoxi lives in eastern Australia. Live in dry sclerophyll forests, coastal heathlands, and rainforests. It could be found near flowing and still water.  It has a soft purring sound.

During breeding males call in early spring through to late autumn from bedside streams and ponds.  Breeding mainly occurs in spring and summer after rain. Eggs are usually attached or placed underneath rocks in streams and dams. Tadpoles’ medium-sized and mostly gold over a darker layer of color, except for a darker area over the base of the body near the tail. These tadpoles can attach to rocks in flowing streams with their mouths.

There are familiar species with this frog. Like this frog can be distinguished from other species of Litoria by its groin coloration, toes pad size and lack of warts.

As you can see this frog is one rare type of frog. It has a lot of interesting facts about itself.
