Eunectes Murinus is the Green Anaconda which is known for being the largest snakes in the world by weight. They are also one of the longest snakes in the world. The Green Anaconda usually grows between 20 - 25 feet or maybe even larger. They can weigh as much as 400 to 500 pounds. Green Anacondas coloration can range from a very dark olive green to a very bright lime green. They have patterns that are round black ovals down the back of the snake. You might also find a yellow highlight around the head and the tail section. They also have a scaly type of skin.

 

The Green Anacondas are well adapted from living in the tropical rain forest. They are cold blooded so they need warm temperatures to help keep their blood warm. They seem to be slow on land, although they are fast in streams and waters. Their nose and eyes are located on top of their heads. Most of the Green Anaconda’s can be somewhere found in South America in the tropical rainforest of the Amazon.

 

The Green Anaconda’s diet is wild pigs, deer, birds, turtles, and even jaguars. Green Anacondas can be very dangerous when they are hunting for their preys. How they hunt down an animal is by coiling their body around there preys and squeezing them as tight as possible and wait until they die. They’re life span lives up to 10 – 30 of age. Their population is nearly 2000 but not exactly.
