This animal is in the phylum Chordata meaning that it has a backbone.  The perdix perdix is a 28-32 cm long bird. The belly is white, usually marked with a large chestnut-brown horse-shoe mark in males, and also in many females.  When calling the perdix perdix  its called rick rick rick.

During the first 10 days of life the young can only digest insects. The parents lead their chicks to the edges of cereal fields, where they can forage for insects. This type of animal is breed in mostly Europe and some of Asia. Though common and not threatened, it appears to be declining in numbers in some areas of intensive cultivation such as Great Britain, probably due to a loss of breeding habitat and possibly food supplies. Their numbers have fallen in these areas by as much as 85% in the last 25 years

Some interesting facts about the Perdix Perdix is that they have a horse shoes on the belly and that it has a rufous face. Meaning it has a reddish yellow brown face, also they don't migrate and they stay in one spot unless there needed to be taken somewhere for breeding.
