Soil centipedes can live in soil, rotting wood, or other organic material. They can have anywhere from 27 to 191 pairs of legs, one per body segment which is always an odd number. They are carnivorous and eat earthworms, other insects and insect larvae. They do not have eyes, but they do have fangs.
