I have this fabulous bird with a weird name called Saltator Grossus. I'm going to tell you about its habitat, food that it eats ,and its predators.
Saltator Grossus is about 6 inches long when its full grown.
Their all black on the body,an orange beak, and a little white patch on their throat.
Distinctive red bill with an almost entire slaty-black-bluish plumage in the male. The female
is lighter colored and the underparts are olive-gray,the throat patch is white but small.
It's natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. Prefers the middle and upper strata of humid rainforest. They are found in southern part of the world like Brazil,Colombia, and Costa Rica.theor population is growing because people are being careful with their environment.
The birds in this family are medium-sized and eat seeds. They have strong, cone-shaped bills that can crack open seeds.in open areas.no other animals eat this bird.
The most interesting facts about my bird is the parts where it lives really like Brazil that's pretty cool.I learned that it is part of the cardinal family and it was pretty hard to do.
