Eudyptes schlegeli can be found in the Macquarie Island and adjacent islands. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) classifies the Royal penguin as a vulnerable species.They are at an endangerment in the wild. Royal penguins look a look like the Macaroni penguins.Royals can grow up to 65-76cm(26-30in) long and weigh 3-6kg (6.6-17.6lb),males are larger than females. They only breed on the Macquarie Island. They eat krill,fish, and small amounts of squid.Between 1870 and 1919 the government of Tasmania issuing a hunting licences for them,before hunting there were 3 million and now only 850,000 pairs.
