The Kratts Lichen Mantis is about an inch long and there is no info about how much it weighs. The coloration of the kratts lichen mantis is different shades of brown and grays to match the tree bark.

As a running species of mantis they will run to get prey and run away from predators like birds, lizards and monkeys. They live in the tall trees of the Amazon Rainforest, Peruvian rainforests, and Southern Asian rainforests. Unlike other species of mantis they do not hunt other mantis. They are mainly found in the tall trees in Peru.

This mantis was found by Dr. Gavin Svenson of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in 2014, named after the kratt brothers, Martin and Chris Kratt. As far as the population there's no specific data indicating a current trend of increasing or decreasing numbers of this mantis species.

As cool as these mantis are,we dont know how close they are to being  endangered. Can you imagine these awesome species going away forever? It will be so sad and you will just learn about them. So let's save these awesome mantis species now.
