Have you ever wondered what a Sea pen is? That is what I’m going to be talking about in my report. Sea pens can be 2 inches to 6 feet long and 7 inches high. They can also be any color. Some Sea Pens can be plump and resemble a fashioned quail pen. In this essay I will be talking about all the important facts about the sea pen.
Sea Pens can be found in the Mediterranean Sea, they are also kept as pets. Sea Pens are nocturnal so they can hide from their prey. They stay coiled up in a ball to hide from their predators.
Sea Pens have a steady population it does not shrink or grow. What is contributing them to stay the same is that when a sea pen dies another sea pen comes to life. The Sea pens population is unknown.
Sea pens are eaten by sea stars and nudibranch. Sea Pens eat when they are happy. There are two things that make them happy 1. There needs to be a proper current 2. It needs to be deep and there needs to be very fine sand or mud. Sea Pens eat plankton. Sea pens compete with many animals for their ood.
Star fish, snails, and nudibranch eat Sea Pens. It stays coiled up so it won’t get eaten.
Something interesting I learned about Sea Pens is that people keep them as pets. I learned everything about a sea pen because I knew nothing about sea pens.
