Are you ready for this? I am going to talk to you readers about Stephanocoenia intersepta a very interesting animal. Also known as the Blushing Star Coral. The Blushing star coral is found in most reef communities, Also the species occurs in the Caribbeans. Some other places are The Gulf of Mexico, Florida, The Bahamas plus it is presented from Brazil. I hope you are going too like this report.

The Blushing star coral's description of its appearance is very stony there a stone coral. You can identify them bye there flowery looking specs on top of them. Its color is usually white with specs that will most likely be the color brown and will look like little flowers on it. Their size is pretty fair they usually are half a foot to two feet and a half. They are usually ten to one hundred and thirty feet in depth of themselves.

The species Blushing star coral can be found in the Gulf of Mexico, The Caribbeans  The Bahamas,  Brazil and Bermuda, butmostly inFlorida. The coral lives in depths ranging from zero too negative five- thousand -nine -hundred- and seven meters .Which is zero too negative nineteen - thousand-three hundred - and eighty feet . The crustos form is way more abundant to the species in the shallower habitats such as Lagoon's and salty enviroments.

There is not a population i could find for my animal species i looked but i could not find one . But there is evidence that of overall coral reef that has been declined , and this is used as a proxy for population decline . For this animal species, i could not say is the population is growing or shrinking. the Internet Say's that we should be the least concern for this species from it being extinct and we should not worry so i would take that as Not shrinking , But not growing either.

Many animals make there home's in my animal species. Such as sting rays make the homes in the coral . Not many animals actually "eat" my animal species . My species eats by catching the tiny floating animal species and most likely it will be zooplankton. At night the coral polyps come out of there skeletons too feed. They prey is then digested in their stomach . They compete with other sea animals . Such as Baleen whales , Mostly all whales because there mouths are made too swallow large amounts of the zooplakton. Manatees , Swordfish , eels, And shrimp. Also many more.

Most animals do not eat my species I am doing my report on . They eat other things that my species eat such as Zooplakton or small fishes . My speices does not have too worry about getting eaten. Becasue it usually is the house of the animals in the sea not the prey of the sea.

Something that stood out too me about my animal is the name . The name Blushing star coral. I think about something totally different from my animal when i hear it . Also, Tentacles are commonly extended during daylight. When touched, these rapidly retract, causing a slight color change, giving this coral a common name of 'blushing star coral . And that is what I thought was pretty cool, intresting, and fun too learn.

In conclusion, I learned a lot of intresting facts about my animal . Blushing star coral And i hope you learned a lot about my animal too because it really is a intresting animal. Also, i hope you took an intrest and learned some fun facts about my animal . And i hope you liked my report.
