The Amphiuma pholeter is a type of salamander they are really amazing because of there color they can be gray, black, purplish and brown. There tail is the other thing that caught my eye it is extremely long and they also have webbed feet their slimy skin is another thing it is not just slimy it is the color of the skin. It looks slimy but it is not it is just the color of there skin there skin is also very shiny that is what makes it unique. They can hide from predators by going into a field because they can hide in bushes, fields, tall grass, and some of their family can go in the water. They eat little bugs and other insects these type of salamanders can be found in warm types of climate and area and they are cold-blooded animals which means there temperature matches the out side.
